q6600 advice

Iv got a Q6600 cpu and i need advice on cooling
i got Coolermaster HAF 932 Case and im thinking would Zalman CNPS9700-LED CPU Cooler (Socket 754/939/940/AM2/LGA775) be enough for non overclocked Q6600?

just wanna make sure so it wouldnt go boom in the end

It should be fine, there are better coolers, but it will depend on how high you intend to overclock and your budget.

Should be fine, also have a look at the Tuniq Tower and the Thermalright range which are I beleive equal or better.

Yes it would be fine for your CPU but why not go for a Thermalright Ultra-120A, it’s a better cooler and it’s cheaper even with buying a 120mm fan.

The cooler's rjc has mentioned are some of the top rated models, another one that is highly reccomended is the sunbeam core contact.

As good as the others mentioned but at a signifigantly lower price.

and tbh was brilliant clocked my q6600 to 3.5 with it and temps never went above 55 under load idle they sat about 30, not a bad cooler for the price
