A bit of advice if possible...

I'm building a system from scratch (at another retailer I'm afraid... the price difference is just too much :( ) and the only component that is working out significantly more expensive than OC is the Quad Q6600.

I want to buy everything from one place, as I'll need to ensure that everything turns up at the same time on a single day off I have planned, so would be gutted to get everything except one component from another retailer - I'd rather just receive nothing and replan my day off!

Anyway, the Q6600 at said retailer is £164. My system will be for a mixture of gaming, internet, office and light editing. Would it be wise to downgrade to the Quad Q8200 (£140) and overclock slightly, or go for the Duo E8400 (£145)? Or, obviously, just plump for the Q6600 and pay the extra!?!

I'm not sure why the Q6600 is so much more on there than here on OC, I guess they're charging a premium for dwindling stocks...

Cheers guys, saved me £20-odd to go and waste somewhere else! Maybe move towards a modular Corsair PSU...

I'll be going for the 520W as that will be more than enough for my system, but I'd not initially planned for such easy cable management... is it wrong to get quite excited by that!?!
