Hi all,

I've just built my new pc based on a Q6600 and a Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3R mobo. I've got 4gb PC-6400 ram with 5-5-5-12 timing.
Anyhoo, i decided to benchmark it using Sisoft Sandra (Version XII Sp1) and found that it lost out by about 3,500 Mips but gained about 500 Mflops (Compared to their Q6600 Win32) in the Processor arithmetic test.

I've tried playing about a bit with the ram settings on the mobo to no avail. I've also overclocked the ram to about 850mhz but this didn't help.

I'm currently using the stock cooling solution (Awaiting my Zalman 9700Led) and running at stock 2400Mhz and running Fista Home premium (Though i have tried XP Sp2 and get the same results).

Any ideas ?

Their results will be based on an average set up. You have to take into account that every cpu is slightly different, the cooling may be different, the place the computer is at (ambient temperature ect, ect). You will find evan if your pc was built using the same components as theirs and near enough identical with software ect. They would still be slightly different.

Its just the way it is. If you post the screenshots though i will take a look and see if there is anything odd, but it's probably just the way it is m8.

Shr3k
