Hi currently running a Q6600 on a 680i lt @3.7 GHz.It`ll boot into Windows and run 3d mark any version you like at 4 gig but priming sends the temps 75+ with a crash about the same time.I`m currently using an EK Supreme block with a Thermochill PA 120.2 and Laing DDC1 T pump, anybody got any better block suggestions 'cause I'm sure the rad should handle a quad.I`m using MX 2 tim and the block`s been reseated several times (core voltage of 1.5 ish with a VDroop mod)
Cheers.

Running a Q6600 with the same rad but using a D-tek Fuzion V2. Don't have the chip clocked as high but running 1.51 volts under load to get stable at 3.6. Temps here are sitting in the high 50s after 8 hours of prime.

An EK Supreme should be fine with a quad. You'll probably only gain 1-2c with a v2 Fuzion.

I doubt it is crashing due to temp issues, it will throttle back before that happens. Either your chip is not capable of 4ghz, it dosn't have enough voltage or there is an issue elsewhere with your setup, most likely your motherboard - 680i aint the best board for clocking quads I'm afraid.
