Looking to overclock my Q6600, Never done anything with it since new. I figure if I get something good I can move it across builds?

I kinda might want to upgrade my entire build soon but fancy the overclock first to see what I can get out of it..

What do you recommend Up to around £65

Thanks

I used a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo for my old Q6600

I wouldn't go spending anything like £65 on a Cooler for such and old cpu(not saying it can't be used again if you upgrade ofc) but when I oced my old e6550 core duo it used to run at 80 at 3GHz on the stock cooler . So I got the Arctic freezer 7 which only cost about £15. And now it doesn't go above 55 at 3.1GHz.

Ok, I have seen this cooler below:

Xigmatek CAC-SXHH3-U06 Gaia SD1283 H.D.T Air Cooling System £12.39 Free P&P

Or

Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Rev.2 CPU Cooler £12.19 Free P&P

Which is best?

Ive got a Thermalright HR-02 Macho on a Q6600, runs at 3.4ghz 24/7 and nice and cool ....and quiet.
