Q6600 cooling

I am looking for a new case and cpu cooler for around £150 after i upgraded a few weeks ago from my athlon 3200+ pc. I have decided that my case is far too loud atm and i was annoyed when i found out i lost the LGA775 bracket for my zalman CNPS9500 =[. i currently have a Aspire X-plorer case and a stock intel fan, but i dont want to overclock on them as temp are too high for my liking. I was thinking of either a tuniq tower 120 or a basic water cooling system to cool the CPU

oh and it must be a midi or full tower atx case

Yup a Tuniq would do nice and an Antect 900 or P182 maybe?

I was thinking of getting a p182 as i dont like the look of the 900. I just aint sure if there is any better cases for the money

The 900 seems to be love/hate with peeps. a lot say its outright ugly but I like it and it offers superior cooling. The 182 is a much tider case. Both good for the money.

To be honest either of them would give better cooling than the case i got now i think. And also my case it really noisy which don't help when i am trying to play a game and hear people precisly

I am getting 50c while doing superpi 1m test but i aint sure if that is good or bad on stock cooler :/ too used to my 3200+ temps i had

For a stock cooler I'd say thats about right.
I have mine clocked at 3,3Ghz and load out about 62'C under Prime using an Arctic Freezer.

That sounds about right mate. I'd get a decent cooler on there whether you plan to overclock or not.
The Freezer Pro is cheap and easy to fit.

well i could probably spend upto £200 on case+cooling. just thinking whether i should head in the direction of water cooling

Check out the thermalright 90 and 120s too, two of the best air coolers.

Unless you plan to do some extreme overclocking, I'd steer away from WC. You can reach 3.6Ghz with a quad on air and have respectable load temps. You only really want WC if you plan to go beyond that. You're gonna need a decent mobo and fast RAM to achieve clocks that high as well as an expensive and fiddly water cooling kit. (if you're not experienced in fitting one out)

Are any of the lian li or thermaltake cases any good with cooling or are they not going to give anything better than if i got a P182
