Hi guys,
I just re-installed my Q6600 GO (3.2ghz) with Arctic Freezer Pro in to an Antec 900 case, and re-greased the chip with MX-2...
I now have the following temps (Coretemp):
Arctic@ 2500 rpm (idle):
Core 0 - 37
Core 1 - 49
Core 2 - 33
Core 3 - 33
Arctic@ 2500 rpm (full - p95 full cpu load):
Core 0 - 57
Core 1 - 57
Core 2 - 51
Core 3 - 51
Why is there such a huge difference between the temps here? I thought I did a pretty even and nice job of the mx-2, and the cooler went on well - could the HSF need lapping? I'm really confused, as the Core 2 and 3 temps have dropped by 5 degrees using the new past, but 1 and 2 haven't budged! any ideas?
