Ok guys, just need some advice & reassurance here. My q6600 core 0 seems to run a minimum of 10deg higher than the lowest (temps below) at idle. I have no plans to overclock just yet but do these seem a little high? Currently using the stock intel hsf but looking at the Zalman CNPS9700-NT nVidia Tritium in order to bring these temps down & also provide some decent cooling for when i do o/c. Cpu temp is currently 15.5 deg. Do i need 2 worry with these temps as running prime95 shot core 0 upto a hefty 79 & is the Zalman hsf worth getting?

core 0 44
core 1 39
core 2 33
core 3 33

Cheers

Your CPU probably has an uneven top, which could be alleviated by lapping.

The Zalman cooler is OK, but there are better options - e.g. ThermalRight 120E, Tuniq Tower, Noctua etc. Bin that stock cooler!
