Going to try and clock my quad over xmas, ive been downloading all *** tools needed from *** overlocking thread etc..

Whilst watching U guru last night i noticed it was fluctuating between 1
1.26 and dropping down to 1.15 and then jumping back up it was doing this like a yo yo. and to be honest i wasn't really doing anything but browsing the net ?

Is this the norm and is it ok or should i be looking into it.

spec abit p35 pro corsair hx620 quad core q6600 ocz pc6400 4x1 gig.

If your vcore is set to auto I do believe that when the system speed steps down to *6 multiplier the vcore drops as well...

you can check the default vcore of your CPU by loading up coretemp and looking at the VID, this will be the stock vcore for your CPU.

im using a Abit p35 pro.

I remember all that speed steeping stuf on my old intel 640 was a pain in the but..

Were about in the bios do i change this as i haven't noticed my clock speed drop from 2.4ghz it used to clock my old core from 3.2 to 2.8 so i could see it at all times changing..

My bios is setup pritty standard all ive changed is sata to IDE mode and ram volts to 2.1
Anything else i should be changing and can anyone tell me exactly what to change to stop the fluctuating cpu volt.

Another thing i noticed was my tuniq tower speed is 1380rpm is this due to qfan or something like that and should i turn this off ??
