K I had this in another thread but didn't get much help and it was a hijack anyway!

DS4 mobo
Q6600 (G0 I think)
2x2gb Corsair Dominator PC8500

I've managed to get this stable at 360fsb but can't get it much higher than that - haven't bothered trying 1mhz at a time because I see no point unless it's actually gonna be the cap.

I put it on 400fsb and I can get it to POST, but it usually hangs at some point around loading windows.
I've tried lowering the CPU multiplier and the RAM multiplier such that neither is stressed but it doesn't help.
Changing the FSB/MCH voltage definitely makes a big difference, but I've had them on the highest settings available in BIOS which is quite frankly ridiculous, and still no joy.

Temps are all fine as this is a very serious watercooled system. The SB gets a little toasty though as it's on air, but still the HS only reaches about 45C.

Help!

i got the same problem with my Q6600 on a p5q-e mobo.

temps are fine but cant get past 380 on mine. Might just be bad luck in getting a not so good overclocking Q6600.
