Q6600 Energy Efficient

Looking on here the general consensus they do as they run at lower temp so you can get more out of the chip.

Oh, I didn't realise they were one and the same.
Mine's a GO, but don't ever recall it saying it was an energy efficient one.

It's only when I went to buy one for someone else that I noticed anything.

Just out of interest. Has anyone bought one of these recently?
I got one of the 1.325vid ones about a month ago that doesn't clock very well. Was wondering if the more recent ones are any better. If so i might do a swap. :)

My own, bought in Early April has a vid of 1.200 and clocked to 3.4 on a StrikerIIE, but will do 3.5 stable, and 3.6 a touch wobbly, and 3.7 VERY wobbly, on the current gigabyte board.

Seems to thermal trip at 70 though, no matter what I do with the relevent setting in BIOS.

got a 1.2750 vid one a few months ago, only ever had it clocked to 3.0ghz with 1.3vcore. currently not in use as my motherboard has just died on me:(
