Q6600 First overclock in process, need advice

Oh rite well that's sweet then, i'm just about done then On 1.39375 it was going like 65-66 and seemed to stable out at that it was doing 66-67 before so it's only 1 degree but in the right direction. I'm gonna try take it down 0.0125 this time so it'll be down 2 increments then i'll try it out if it's lower and gonna run it over night and pray that it works. Thanks for all your help mate

Yeah those temps for stress testing are fine, it won't get that high through normal use anyway.

God this has taken ages. Reset in prime on the 1.36875 so I think i've found the point. I'm now running at 1.3750 and temps are down to 63 from 67 from when I started so pretty happy with that, amazing what the change of voltage can do. It might not be loads but it makes me feel better about leaving it on all night neways. Well i'm off to bed now. Hopefully it'll still be on in the morning. Ok I've let prime run and it brings up an error after just over two hours into it. it has done this on the lower colder voltage and the higher hotter voltage. It shows errors in log and pc is as log on screen so must be reseting. I have turned off vista sleep and other screensaver settings. I don't see how it can be getting too hot tho. After two hours on the last attempt it was sitting at 62oc which is pretty much sweet. I'm thinking of running prime in xp. Any ideas? Kev
