q6600 from 2.4 to 2.8

hi guys!

ive just raised my QDR to 1249 to get 2.8ghz out of this chip on a p5n32-e board!

i havent changed any voltages etc! can i leave them on auto or should i set them manually? i tried going to 2.9 and it froze up in a game but i dont reeally know what im doing ha!

Hi Kinger,

Have a read thru here and it should give u some tips for more oc'ing goodness.

Got my q6600 at 3ghz just by using 333 in the multiplier. Not going to try higher until the weather cools down a bit (or may get a sneaky upgrade when/if i can afford it)

Would 1333 QDR, mean 3 ghz? If so just tried that and pc wont boot so gunna have to clear the cmos i think!

For that i had vcore set to 1.35

Anything i should try?
