overclocking on my P5B Deluxe get some weird results

can do up to 3.6 gig on x9 multiplier - 400x9 @ 1.575 Vcore (1.5 actual)

but on x8 multiplier anything above 3.45 gig - and after 20 mins of SmallPrime, PC locks up ...

mobo fsb wall

or cpu fsb wall ?

well i suspect its the board, first thing to do when u clock is to test out what the board will do.. set you multi to 6, slow your ram right down and only use 1 stick.. then work up through the FSB in 5mhz increments, and see where you have issues, if you have an issue then just make a note of it..

Now that should give you some ideas and you can then aim your clock around it.. I know for instance that my board has some issues around 430 - 440 FSB, yet i can prime for 8 hours @ 440+

Also its worth disabling any onboard extras that you arent using, WIFI/LAN/etc..

Also 400 * 9 is less pressure on the FSB than say 430 * 8
