Right got bored so I thought I'd try some overclocking on my cpu which I've been running at stock since I made my system,

I have a Sunbeamtech Core-Contact Freezer CPU Cooler with a 120mm fan stuck on which I've now set the fan at near full speed, so suggestions comments anyone? Oh and the case is the original CM Stacker in case anyone asks! Cheers!

EDIT: I haven't changed the voltages yet as I've been told not too till the system doesn't boot up, I would like to say I'm aiming for 2.8ghz then that'll be it.

Update: Well stopped at 2.8 as other things occupied my time and tried going to 3.0 at I think 1.27?? voltage but wasn't stable so shall try again tomorrows, cheers all and night!

Posting off my phone as my system kept BSOD'ing, guess it was unstable, right wad wondering would I need to change the ram settings at all voltage and such or timings to get stability or just a matter of core voltage?

Settings are as follows:
Clock 350mhz
Factor x8
Dram speed ddr2-1050
Pci clock 100mhz

Core voltage: 1.2925

The rest havnt touched yet, as for this divider business, the lowest it'll go at the moment is ddr2-700

Right that wouldn't go past POST so upping the voltage a touch now

Edit: I left the factor at 9! Setting to 8 and rebooting

Woof! Stopped the test after 5 runs as CT showed one of my cores reaching 77c! Hmm I'll try going to 1.29 :/

The one that came with, set the knob to max speed, barely hear it so not bothered about noise

Brb lemme just ramp the voltage a notch up as I'm seeing my FSB on CPUz just wiggling from 1599-1600

Well volt was already at 1.2925 so I'll leave it that till, no BSOD's so far, will test some more for stability, as for air flow, well due to the crappy cabling it's not perfect but it's fine so far, although I am missing 2 PCI metal slot thingys that go on the back of the case, just took a pic..
