Hi

I got a G0 stepping with a 1.325 VID which means I have to set 1.38125v in BIOS (1.31v after Vdrop) to achieve 3ghz 333*9 stable. Can anyone else advise me what overclocks they achieved with their 1.325 VID G0 stepping and how much voltage it required.

I am running the stock cooler at the moment but if I can get say 3.5ghz with a better cooler then I`m tempted. At the moment I won't push the voltages up as temps are already in the 70-80C range!

Its a very good indication though.

I am up at 3.2ghz now with 1.38V REAL stock cooler with some 80C under Prime 4 worker threads. This appears to be stable. I reckon with a decent cooler I could knock at least 10C off my temps and get down to around 70C.

I might then be able to push up the voltage and get to 3.3ghz stable... don't want to go no higher then 1.41 REAL.

These stock coolers get toasty :D

Doing some rendering on max managed to peak temp at 79degrees (3.0ghz, 1.325VID g0)

Getting my watercooling in soon so i'll push for 3.8 :)

Might be impossible to get 3.8ghz with a 1.325VID G0 with anything less then watercooling. Judging by the other posts here I reckon I could max out at around 3.4ghz with something like 1.465V REAL and the temps would be @ 70C with a decent cooler. At the moment 3ghz @ 1.31v REAL gets me 70C

I used to get max 79C under Prime95 with 4 worker threads @ 3ghz 1.31v REAL stock cooler but then my brother gave me a 90mm case fan to go under the PSU and an 80mm case fan to sit at the front of the case... this knocked 9C off my CPU temps and now I can run @ 3.2ghz with a max peak temp of 81C 1.38V REAL

my Q6600 has got about the same VID, was a bit worried I wound not get it anywhere near 3Ghz, which is as far as I wont to go. I relay wouldn't want to get to the 80 mark on temps. and over 1.50 vcore is insane! I just don't have the guts to do that.

Well I primed my system running at 3.2ghz 1.475 BIOS 1.38V REAL stock cooler last night and 1 of the cores failed after 1 hour 37 minutes so I guess I need even more volts!!!

So I backed off and primed at 3.0ghz 1.38125 BIOS 1.31 REAL and it passed a 17 hour Prime test - the max temp reached was something like 77C so you should be OK for 3ghz and with a decent cooler have those temps down to around 65C
