Q6600 G0 VID Question

I was under the impression that a processors VID is a static figure. My mate has a G0 chip running on an Intel G33 board and in CoreTemp the VID field fluctuates between 1.1625v and 1.275v. Ive never seen the VID field change, is this actually normal?

Speedstep? The VID is a loadline not a point, its only fixed if you disable the options in the bios.

Ah right, that blinking speedstep again. I had no idea that the VID could change even with speedstep. That does explain it tho so thanks for the heads up!

Definitely due to SpeedStep. My laptop does this.

it's speedstep...it happens to me if it's enabled.
