Im overclocking my q6600.. and at the moment it's at 3.5Ghz..

Im just wondering what you think a DO NOT EXCEED voltage would be for the quad.. It's running at around 1.4v at the moment.. Is this good/bad?

And idle temps are around 40-49 degrees.

I've had 3 core 2 based CPUs in the last 10 months, an E6600, E6750 and now a Q6600. I found that with them all, 3.5-3.6GHz was the limit for 1.4v. To get higher I had to bump to around 1.5. I can reach 4Ghz on my Q6600 with 1.68v and I can reach almost 4.1 at 1.7v, but I wouldn't recommend running it at that, I just wanted to see how far I could take mine :D. To get you a bit higher, bump your v to about 1.5, but before you do that, your temps are pretty high for a Q6600 with a thermalright ultra 120, you should try and sort your temps before you try more voltage. I'm thinking that your ultra 120 could be concave, did you lap it when you got it or just banged it on?

No I didn't lap it.. It's my first build so didn't want to take precautions and maybe ruin it lol

Here are my temps at the moment..
