So I just upgraded my PC from this.......

Intel Q6600 2.4GHz
8GB Corsair DDR2 8500
Titan Fenrir CPU Cooler
Asus P5K
HIS Radeon HD 4870
Vortexx Neo GPU Cooler
WD Velociraptor
Antec 900-2 Case
Jeantech Storm 700W PSU

...to this......

Intel Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz (Ivybridge)
16Gb GeIL EVO Leggera DDR3
Gelid GX7 CPU Cooler
Gigabyte Z77X-D3H
Intel 330 Series 120GB 2.5" SATA 6Gbs SSD
Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 1TB SATA 6Gbs
Antec 900-2 Case
Jeantech Storm 700W PSU

I don't have a GPU yet. I'm gonna sell some spare parts to raise the funds to keep the wife happy. Probably in a week or two will I buy one, so if you have any suggestions as to what would go nicely in this system, I would love to hear it.

Here is the old (dusty) system.

Look at the state of it!

Stripped, cleaned and ready for shiny new parts!

Heatsink fitted. It was really easy to fit this one.

But 4 sticks of GeIL Leggera. I had never heard of this RAM before, but some clearly knowledgeable members of this site recommended it, so I took a chance. I was gonna get some Corsair Vengeance Black because it looks cool. However, it would have been a tight fit or not fit with the CPU cooler.

CPU, RAM and Cooler fitted.

Motherboard in. I couldn't figure out why the screw holes weren't lining up, and 10 minutes later I realized the I/O shield wasn't in properly.

Storage. SSD for Windows7Pro and games, 1Tb for all my other junk.

All in. It needs some cable management, but i'm waiting until I get the GPU first. However, some of the cables just aren't long enough to route neatly round the back. The 8-pin connecter up the left and the case connector gubbins down the right are both too short. Any suggestions? Everything else is easy although this case could do with a few holes at the bottom of the mobo.

Cool 3D BIOS!. I set the RAM timings to the manufacturers specifications, but everything else is default. I'll be reading up on here for some simple overclock suggestions for this board and cpu. ;)
That's about it really. I would appreciate some suggestions for a GPU for this rig. My budget is £200, and i've owned AMD and Nvidia in the past and been happy with both.

Nice build :) , what I love of this ANTEC 900 or 902 cases is the lack of the silly PCI tooless design and the lack of silly 5.25" tooless design, fortunately the case manufacturers understood that there is no point of PCI tooless design and such silly beature have been eliminated
