Q6600 Kentsfield + DDR3 RAM ?

Hi there..
My friend has Q6600 Kentsfield -Stepping B. -Revision G0. -65nm.

Can he use DDR3 RAM ?

Any replies would be appreciated. Thanks

Yea I know, but somebody told me

(I'm aware that the memory controller is built into some of the latest CPU's for DDR3 and so I wasn't 100% sure that this CPU supports it)

So, if he had a DDR3 enabled 775 Mobo, he'll be able to run DDR3 ?

One last thing though.. Does it matter which chipset (providing it accepts ddr3) such as: P43, P45, G41 etc)

Sorry, another question:

I'm guessing that if his CPU is 65nm + 1066 FSB, then this motherboard spec is incompatible:
- Supports 45nm Intel Core 2 multi-core processors with FSB 1333 MHz
