hi

I was just wondering if these temps are actually accurate.

I have a Q6600 Oc'd to 3115Mhz. with a CNPS9700 NT

Ambient: 10C
Load(Intel Burn Test): 32C
Load(Prime 95 4 instances):28C
Idle:11-12C

they seem a bit low but i do have 15 fans in my case lol. could these be accurate?

cheers Ali

I'd have thought it unlikely. What are you using to get these temps? Check with coretemp if you've not already, it's what many people on here use. Some programs read the temp of the CPU from the socket which is cooler than the actual cores.

Let us know :)

Edit: Also you might want to check if your motherboard's BIOS is up to date, some old ones can report wrong temps but it's not as likely with a Q6600.

i have the most up to date bios version and i have used coretemp, realtemp and HWmoniter and they all report the same temps............

Not even water can keep it that cold. I would hazard a guess them temps are wrong, Possibly a sensor playing up.

i can feel difference if i put hand over back of GPU it feels warm (35C according to speedfan) and then the air at the back of the hsf on CPU feels cold

What vCore are you putting through the CPU? Do you have any other processors you could test in that PC? Or another PC to test the current processor in?

That's fairly cool for a GPU also, depending what it is.

i do have pretty awesome airflow i have 3 custom wind tunnels for CPU + 2 9600Gt's (with palit coolers) SLI'd. am using 1.39Vcore.

the ambient temp is definately 10C

No the temps are certainly wrong.

Only way it would be that cold is if it was snowing outside and -10 or something and you took your pc outa the case and sat it outside, maybe still not get that cold.

Sounds an awful cooling setup, dreadful if it is that loud.
