Hi there

I got a G0 stepping to replace my older Q6600 in the hopes of a higher overclock. The last one I had running at 9 x 333 on my DQ6 965 board, giving a Windows Experience Index of 5.9 for the processor, 5.3 for memory. After swapping the processors the G0 does indeed run faster at either 9 x 366 or 8 x 400, but gives a Windows Experience Index of 5.7 for the processor and 5.9 for the memory. Anyone got any ideas why this might be? The memory is 4 Gb of Crucial DDR2 800, so running the board at 400 gives a 1:1 ratio which probably boosts the memory rating, but why would the processor be lower?

Supposedly SP1 for Vista includes a fix for the current randomness of the WEI. If the systems running fine then I'd be inclined to do as suggested above.
