What memory speed does a Q6600 run at as standard? therefore which memory is needed?

Also if overclocking what memory would be recommended?

thanks cob - how do you work out that pc2-4200 is needed for stock

Is it 266 * 2 = 532 and pc2-4200 runs at 533 (and i guess 1066 * 2 = 2132 cpu speed)

but when you overclock you increase the 266 to higher (can you give me an example for 3ghz)

thanks

excellent tips mate......

i guess a q6600 is quite easy to get over 3 gigz to around 3.2 therefore thats why you recommend the 6400 memory or good overclocking 5300?

At 3.2 = 356 therefore needs memory which can hit 711?

was looking and :-

but the

Is it really worth getting the cheaper 5300 crucial ballistix over the 6400 Corsair for 2quid?

Whats the advantages/disadvantages here?
