Q6600, OC'ing with standard HS + Fan

Basically, what am i likely to be able to get out of a Q6600 using the standard heatsink and fan when overclocking? Still undecided between the Q6600 and E6850 and would like to clear a few things up.

No one can be sure since each chip is different. It will be temps that will be holding you back so i would say around 3GHz maybe a bit less before temps come into play, unless you have a really cool running chip.

Dont go for the E6850 though. Get the Q6600 and then buy a fatermart cooler.

Thats the thing, im not sure if i'll have much room to fit a big cooler on the Q6600, plus its additional cost which i really have to avoid
