As title, will my 500W power supply be enough for a new q6600 when paired with a 7900GTX? its the new power save version of the Q6600 im talking about by the way.

what cpu u upgrading from and make of psu?

If your psu has recomended amps for your gcard i'd say it will be fine as its the graphics cards that are the most power hungry

Im in work so cant remember the power supply, but the processor is......wait for it.......

a 3700+ AMD (yes they still exist!) i overclocked it to 2.9Ghz so its a little power hungry itself, but i never had a quad core so wasnt sure how power hungry they were.

I have a 3700SD @ 3.05Ghz and a 7900GTO @ 695/850 all running off a Seasonic S12 500w PSU - no problems here :) Not sure how the Quad compares to my SD but I'm confident it'll be fine so long as your PSU is decent quality :)

As already mentioned, it should be fine. I'm running a Q6600 (95W/G0) at 3.5GHz with an 8800GT on a Seasonic S12 500W without problem.
