Hello gentlemen, basically with the switch to the HD 4870 from the gtx 260 ive got a bit of extra money for my rig and with a little stretching of budget ive figured out i can go for the q9450 over the q6600.
motherboard is an asus rampage and memory is corsair 6400 4GB whilst the cooler im using will be the tuniq tower.
Question is do i make the switch? The q9450 is 45nm s it'll run cooler but ive heard the multiplier is a bit of a bother when it comes to OC'ing. Sorry to bother you gents again but im tearing my hair out here trying to get as best machine as i can
