ok so i got one of the overclocked system from overclockers uk, the spec is
q6600 overclocked to 3.2GHz
Abit ip35 Pro mobo
Corsair TX650 PSU
xfx 8800GT
4x1GB OCZ PC2-8500C5 SLI-Ready Dual Channel DDR2
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro CPU cooler
Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound
now the problem is, i was looking into overclocking it further, and so ran a torture test using Prime95. About 30 seconds into the stress test, the system rebooted.
im quite new to this, so i will give all the information i know:
FSB: 356MHz
Multiplier: 9x
Core Speed: 3205MHz
Core Voltage: 1.420v
FSB
RAM : 4:5
DRAM Frequency : 445MHz
i would post temperatures but the temps given by the uGuru on Abit mobos seems a really bad reading, its showing around 20degrees which doesnt sound right at all.
Im not 100% sure but from what i have read it may be that my core voltage isnt high enough, if someone could help me out that would be great, or would it be better for me to contact overclockers as i only got the system on tuesday and it was them who overclocked it?
also i have a slight discrepency with my CPU altogether. In my item description of my invoice it says Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600, but in my cpu-z readout it says core stepping is GO, not PRO.
Is this going to be making a difference? should i follow this up or just ignore it?
thanks guys
