First off, im a complete noob to overclocking, but read all guides and stuff on the forum.

System specs are in signiture.
I managed to achieve 2.587ghz, which i know is far less than the capabilities of this chip. I tried raising the fsb speed more but i had an error on the boot screen, lowering the fsb cured this.

Iv tried a variation of games, since the overclock and depsite noticing a mild performance increases, the games close within 2 minutes due to a few problems.

Iv uploaded a screenprint of coretemp + cpu-z. Il take some pics now of the bios.

Thanks in advance.

Ok, i managed to get the q6600 to 3.0ghz using the settings that 'siumatfung' recommended though still experienced crashes and instability. Now running at stock speeds until i buy a new motherboard.

Was planning on going down the i7 route, but not with current prices.

Can anyone recommend a good overclocking 775 board for my q6600?
(I personally prefer asus or gigabyte).
