Hi,

I've managed to do my first overclock on a Q6600, I can't seem to go any higher than this though prime stable. Any ideas?? Is it the ram holding me back?
Also managed to clock up my 9800gt to 720MHz - should I try for more or is this a good o/c?

My temps seem really good on the CPU - I am wondering whether speedfan is measuring them correctly?

Cyc.
:D

try your ram at 1:1 and also what chipset are you using
if you have a decent cooler you should try going for 3.6 but make sure your vcore doesnt go over the 1.5 ish mark that way you run your ram on 1:1

To the OP what is yor VID? EDIT ok you have a VID of 1.3050

I seriously doubt its your ram holding you back, that's if its the ram you boast in your sig yea

Oh and phill0i why not over 1.5? i have mine at 1.536V

Increase the Vcore if you want more out of it

i did say 1.5ish, i just meant u don't really want to go to much over it because at that mark it really ramps up your temps
