So, I have a pretty old system but I'm upgrading it gradually. I've been overclocking the CPU this weekend and can get to around 3Ghz from a stock 2.4Ghz but I'm having random reboots and the error seems to be memory related.

I'm running the memory at stock settings giving a 1:1 FSB:RAM ratio, the only thing I've done is give the memory a bit more juice. Would it be wise to start slackening the timings to get things smooth? Temps seem fine @ 30 ish idle and 50C at 100% under load running a vcore of 1.4v thanks to my shiny new noctua DH-14 cooler.

I'm running the chip and 4Gb of PC5300 ram on an MSI P6N SLI v1.0 board.

Any help much appreciated :-)
