Hi,

I am running a Q6600 and an Asus p5q pro mobo. the cpu is running at 3ghz with the fsb at 333mhz. I have left the NB voltage at auto - and it is at 1.4v - is this too high? as the NB heatsink feels almost too hot to touch.

Any help is appreciated,

Cheers

Id take it of auto as 1.4v is the limit for NB voltage on theese boards, a few notches set manually above auto by pressing the + key for the NB volts in bios should be sufficient at 3.0ghz. Id also advise manually upping the fsb term voltage and pll + 2 above auto, p5q's are reputed to seriously overvolt the fsb term, nb and pll if left on auto or lowest manual setting.

Ok so ill just go into my bios and press the + key twice on each of those 3 voltage settings? And that will make them lower than what they are on auto? i notice my ram is hot to the touch too.
