hi all,

OK so I want to clock my Q6600 more than current but I need some info. this is my first Intel CPU in a decade so I dont know too much about it and have been happy running it @ 2.9Ghz for the last 12 months but now i have a processor intensive single core application and need more umph...

I currently have 4 gig of OCZ platinum DDR2 ram
- 800MHz DDR2
- CL 5-5-5-18
- Unbuffered
- Gold XTC* Heatspreader
- OCZ Lifetime Warranty
- 2.1 Volts
- 240 Pin DIMM

Q6600, 320fsb, air cooled, stock voltage. 52oC under load, 35 to 40 @ stock.

looking for info on acceptable voltages/temps for the ram and cpu.

so far so good.

managed to get to 3Ghz which i have never done before... :) currently 333fsb @1.256v

I have OCZplatinum ram which is doing 420mhz @2.2v

idle temsp are

core0 29oC core1 27oC core2 23oC core3 28oC overall temp 33oC I must say that seems rather low... is speedfan reliable??

had a funny time with the motherboard... its an Asrock Core1600P35 its actually a very good board but lacks NB and SB speed and multiplier adjustment (i miss my old lanparty board), however it makes up for that by being rated to hit 1600mhz... also in the bios I have set the cpu vcore to 1.3v, which for some reason gives the cpu 1.25v (which I think is stock voltage for a Q6600 ??)

just wondering whether to drop the ram divider and go for higher fsb to see what else i can get or to just begin stability testing from here...
