Just wondering what is the best stable speed I would get out of the Q6600 G0 processor when used with the stock cooler and heatsink. I ran it at 2.6 with no problems but didn't want to push it too hard at the moment until I heard what others are reaching.

I got 3Ghz out of mine on stock speed but a freezer pro would be a good investment if you plan to run overclocked 24/7

Can be picked up from as little as £11.10 inc vat! still easily the best bang for buck cooler around!! :)

use core temp and overclock untiil you hit 70 degrees under load. If your case cooling is good and your chip has a low vid then you should be ok to around 3-3.2 GHz I imagine. Depends what voltage the cpu needs really.

before i got my tuniq tower i used the stock cooler.

with the stock cooler i got to 3.0ghz with load temps over 70oc and around 42oc at idle but the fan had to be on constant and it sounded awful

with the TT its 32 idle and low 50's at load sounds a lot better aswell
