hi i have oc my q6600 to 3.2 ghz on a nvidia mb 680i sli 4 gbs or ram.

fsb 1424
cpu fsb 1.4v
cpu core 1.38750

dose this sound okay or too high ??? its stable but i just wondered if these voltages are ok bad or w/e lol new to this

thanks

im getting
35
35
31
28

and on load with with prime 95 for about 35 mins im getting

up to 59

thanks for the opionions

not bad, but you might need to reduce voltage/overclock come summertime in case it gets a bit too toasty :).

have you checked to see if its stable with a lower voltage to the processor ?

Blimey, 7 degrees difference between cores - I was getting uppity at 5 between Core 0 and 2/3.

That said you're having better results than me, I've got a pretty lame chip by all accounts.

Currently at 1.33750v, 375*8 (aiming for 1:1 400x8 for 3.2) and load temps are close to 68-70. Cooled by a Scythe Ninja Mini in an Antec Fusion case (think that's the bulk of the problem though tbh!)

When people refer to the CPU voltage, is that the figure taken from the BIOS or CPU-Z when the processor is under full load? To get 3.4GHz stable on my Q6600 I had to set the vCore to 1.5050v. This is reported as 1.49v at idle in CPU-Z and 1.42v during Prime 95. My CPU VID is 1.325, have I got a crap cpu thats gonna need lots of vCore to improve it further? My current full load temps are 68 degrees and 30 deg at idle. I'm fitting a custom watercooling setup soon and then was gonna push the cpu a little further.
