Hello, I recently overclocked Q6600 (with Stock Fan) from 2,4GHZ to 3,0GHZ (9x333), and my temperatures went up from 35-40C idle and 50-55C full load up to 40-45C idle and 60-70C full load during stress test.

Are these temperatures something to be worried about?

Thanks!

Theyre ok when stress testing, but ideally youll be better off with a decent aftermarket cooler. This will also allow you to overclock further and keep temps in check.

And welcome to ocuk.

No, but any hotter/faster overclock and you'll be wanting an aftermarket cooler.

I just played a few games of "Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Beta" and used Real Temp program while playing, it says my maximum CPU temp was up at 65C.

Is this temperature fine if I want to keep the CPU OC at 3,0GHZ without worrying about buying a new aftermarket heatsink or worrying about it overheating?
I feel this CPU isnt good enough for more overclocking, so I'd rather buy a new heatsink with a new CPU.

Sorry for my bad english.

Your English is fine, better than many English frequenters of the site!

Yes, it's not going to burn up at that temperature. Most Q6600s will do a few hundred MHz more without too much difficulty though, I'd be surprised if yours couldn't.
