Does anyone know if its possible to increase ghz through windows with this chip its a 2.4ghz 95w energy efficient one. if you cant do it through windows how do i do it on bios pnb i dont have the option to increase volts on bios.

have i hit a brick wall here
 
Im using an asrock mobo if you look on the overclockers website its the only one they have for Intel. i may have made the mistake at the begining i built a cheap budget get of the ground machine and as time has gone ive wanted to upgrade but sem to think this is the brick wall of going anyfurther i cant afford a new mobo just now but if thats the issue il def get a new one when i can.
gfx: geforce 7300le
ram: budget corsair but intenting on some crucial
 
Thats the beast of burdon. do you chaps have any idea on how to start changing it and whats best to do the link above was of good help but at work just now so will give it a bash later any other ideas would be great.
 
last time i read what to do on an asrock related forum the impending doom of not booting up was upon me and i literaly keekt ma pants. but will try most of the things you guys have sugested and let you know the outcome ie if overclockers receive an order for new parts lol

hey chaps it didnt go so well i set up my bios the same way as the Quote posted by Greebo sugested it uped my ghz to 2.55 from 2.40 but failed to boot i ran throught it all again and it kept freezin on the second screen where it configures if hard drives and everything are comunicting and also gives
the option to F2 boot into bios or F10/11 (cant qite remember *** one) to chose load from options ie safe mode and stuff. after tweaking the frequency to the chip bringing it down from what was recomended it would advance past that but then the screen was blank with a little white line top right flashing and stayed like that i tried everything and nothing worked. even having the processor set to 2.45ghz messed it up

forgot to mention erlier that there is no option for speedstep on my bios
