Instead of having 100 thread spread accross CPUs and overclocking and cooling I thought Id post here. If it belongs in overclocking then please move it.
Stock speed is 2.4ghz, 3ghz is easily obtainable with most and 3.6ghz with some.
We need to know the following
Your Q6600 VID - Coretemp will display this
Your cooling setup
Temperatures - Coretemp will display this
You BIOS settings inluding Vcore and if anything is limiting the overclock such as speedstep
Vcore will be fine up to 1.55volts when at full load with the correct cooling. If you have poor cooling, dont just stick it at 1.55volts
Vdroop might be a factor - If, like mine, the bios is at 1.62, the load temperature will drop to 1.48.
Try yours at 1.4vcore, then run prime95 small FFT and see what the vcore changes to in Coretemp
