I've been changing my fsb from 266 (2.4) to 333 (3.0) for a couple of years now. I'm not much of an overclocker so Im just getting some advice.

I'd like to try and overclock to 3.2 if possible.

My bios - Ip35pro using uguru -

I'm also using artic silver on the chip. Can anyone give me advice on setting I could use THANKS!

what stepping is the chip ? is it a G0 or a B3 ?

is that 3 x 1gb sticks you have ?

you can see everything apart from my memory settings (i'm sure it was running about 940 or so with that overclock) for my old q6600 G0 @3.5ghz on an abit ip35 pro in this screenshot -

not sure if your cooler would cope with that though, what are your current load temps ? and what speed is your ram ?

Just set the clockspeed to 356 using the divider to keep the RAM at stock & see how you get on, might not even need to up the voltages. I ran at 3.2Ghz 400 x 8 for a few months with no problems while I was waiting for better cooling, the multi set to x8 gave me better performance at the voltage i was restricted to.

Thanks for the reply

It's a B stepping and a revision G0 and it's 3 strips of 1 gig. I've just tried 400 bus speed Multiplier 8x Core speed 31.99.9 Mhz. Gave 400 a go without changing the voltage and it would not boot. So changed the dram speed to 1.1 DDR2 800 and it was running around 37c idle and 43 gaming. Was running great for an hour or so and the whole pc froze. What should I try with the Dram as a safe option?

As I said I'm a complete nooblet when it comes to all this stuff lol!

What is strange is under system it's displaying it as Q6600 2.40 GHZ 3.60 GHZ ??

ddr800 should be fine, i would try raising cpu voltage 1 notch.
and use coretemp or realtemp to monitor cpu temps instead of uguru.
