I'm new to the forums so hello everyone! I have also just finished building my new PC, however having a few problems with noise levels when overclocking the CPU.
Does anyone have any good recommendations for a quiet heatsink and fan for the Q6600? I have looked at several products and also other threads on this forum however it seems the recommendations are more based on cooling capability rather than noise levels.
I am currently running the Q6600 at stock clock speeds where the stock fan noise level is acceptable, if I overclock to 3.0GHz, it becomes rather loud and very irritating.
If anyone has any recommendations for a preferably near silent cooler for the Q6600 (G0) running at 3.0GHz, I would love to hear them. As for price, I'm not really bothered, just needs to do the job and be quiet!
