A spare fan for a fiver is worth it at least in my eyes.

Hmm well unless someone provides me with an actual logical argument for why this would be the case I would have to consider that info a bit suspect... I always thought that a CPU overclocked exactly as much as it was able to at a given temperature. I just can't see any reason why performance would degrade without any other contributing factors...
I suffered from degredation with the E8500 because i went past 1.45v with it.
