Q6600 RIP

Is this yet another "whats the best CPU" thread? This time started by "the Q6600 is dead".

I think there's about 3 other ones active right now...
 
Q6600 is almost impossible to kill heh... and clock for clock they will still hang in there with anything out. It really tickles me when people write them off as "old tech" - specially when they "upgrade" to a Phenom II system.
 
Intel's 2007 processor matching the best AMD has to offer in 2010? It would be funny if it wasn't so tragic.

Not to worry though, someone will soon tell me that you didn't need a quad core to play games in 2007 so the q6600 was e-peen only.

No, S775 is on the way out so as more and more folks looks for a decent way to to the from their system a quad will be the best option.

I only see the price of the Q6600 rising tbh. Get one now if ya can.
And Albert do even own or have ever owned a Q6600 or are you just a Fanboi trolling?

Tbh I think its time for you to move on and bug some idiots on another forum.
