I have a Q6600 @ 3.2Ghz, temps are 35 idle and 50 under load. Thats with a H-50.

tuniq tower 120 cooler
i'm in scotland though so it's colder up here

I recently saw one in the ads of MicroMart(i hope I can say this

), and some guy had an unused retail one for £50, and I just thought it was a huge bargain as mine my Q6600 still runs great 3 years later, never put a foot wrong. I'd certainly recommend to anyone

Had mine nearly 2 years and it still flies. Excellent value for money. Don't get me wrong, the core i7's look nice but have you see the price!?!

As previously stated for £40 it's a no brainer. Break his arm off. If it can get to 3.6 then it should do around 3.1 to 3.2 on stock volts. Even at that speed the GPU will be the limiting factor in most games.
For everything else it will still be more than you need for a long while to come.

Go for it, they are gutsy cpu's. Mine is currently clocked at 3.4 and it goes like a bullet.

If that's the case; by that logic my current CPU was -£20 because I sold the old 939 X2 4200+ in my spare rig to fund it.
