q6600 stock heatsink

hey guys, just got my e6700... i have a q6600 heatsink lying about will this be better then the stock e6700 hs. it seems to be better... its heavier :confused:

just wondering if its worth swapping them over untill i get some spare cash to buy a betetr heatsink ?

Have a look at the bottom, use the one that has a copper centre if you've got one.

yeah the q6600 is a copper bottem!... i'll swap it over and see how it goes... back in a bit

swapped the e6700 stock hs with a q6600 stock hs and its dropped my idle temp by 10c?! i was not expecting that, i'm using core temp to check temps... really suprised!

ran orthos for 5hours at 300x10(1200) max load temp was 66c, i'll stick with this mild overclock untill i can afford a new heatsink
