can i ask guys are theese temps ok. spec in sig

core,0 35
core1, 33
core2, 28
core3, 32

im using an arctic cooling freezer 7 pro at 60% setting, the system is all at stock at the minute, im hoping to get 3.6ghz from the chip (if the mobo can do it) if so are theese temps ok. ps the cpu has a vid of 1,2750v, q6600 go stepping will this help me to get a good oc.

temps are fine. As long as you keep load temps a max of between 60-70 you should be fine.

thanks, i ran prime 95 for 10 mins last night at stock and my highest temp on any core was 54'c, my [email protected] idled at 32'c in orthos it got to 60'c, am i right in thinking the quads run a bit warmer and that 70'c is acceptible. im not doing any ocing at the minute (let the thermal paste bed in) but if things get warmer its time for a new cooler.

The quads will run warmer than the equivalent duals but they have a higher Tj so can run at a higher temp without problems.

I would say that the different temps between the core shows that either the CPU and/or the AC7 isn't quite flat - you shouldn't really have more than 5C between the cores if all is as it should be.
