Well, my Q6600 G0 is running at 2.4GHz with a stock fan.

The speed of each core at ideal is around 48 degrees.

At the moment, I am doing a stress test, using Everest and the temperature after 7 minutes is around 67 degrees.

So, I am just wondering, if it's okay, or do you guys reckon it's too high?

Any input would be nice, thanks.

Well, I don't much about that. But from Everest:

CPU Core under stress it's 1.25

At ideal it's 1.12

I hope I am reading the correct data.

Just to make it clear. Everest also shows CPU temperature(not core), and that's 31 degrees at ideal and it reached 49 degrees under stress. So the once that are reaching 65+ degrees are the core temperature. If that helps...

your temps are fine for a stock cooler at stock speeds, maybe consider a Noctua, TRU, or Tuniq, if you're thinking of overclocking.

I tend to ignore the CPU temp in Everest, the individual core temps are more significant, particularly if there's a large difference between the hottest and the coolest under load.

Not really planning to Overclock. I am happy with the performance.

Also, the cores are quite similar actually. Both at ideal and stress.

Anyway thanks dudes. Jut wanted to check.

Temps are ok'ish for a stock intel cooler, as mentioned above if your gonna overclock look at the top range coolers, such as the tuniq tower or TRUE120, even the arctic freezer 7 pro is a nice cheap but effective cooler, good maybe up to 3.3ghz.
