Board was exchanged at OC'ers today. I also got the Tuniq Tower 120 cooler Temps are 50C idle. Is this right? Asus AI Booster show CPU temp as 30C, but this is socket temp i think?

System temp is 40C.

Thanks

I have a QX6700 at 3.5Ghz and from core temp it runs 40c idle and 58c on Orthos - using a Thermalright Ultra 120.

Your case temp is so high that the Tuniq cannot get rid of the heat. My temps are normally about 25c

What voltage are you running? my Q6600@3ghz idles at 50 with just under 1.4v.

My Q6600 idles at ~40c and hits ~60c at load under water at 1.45v (1.375v after vdroop :o ).

does speedfan sound correct at 35C? What other programs can i use besides TAT to measure?
Voltage is around 1.3

Core Temp 0.95 now reading 54C Idle, this is too high IMO. Tuniq is seated properly.

Need a reply on speedfan temps

Speedfans core temps are too low to be considered to be correct.

TAT and CoreTemp are closer to the truth.

i had heard that. I guess airflow in my case is not good enough, would you think 40-46C system temp is the cause of this?

I have a thermaltake shark w/ front and rear 120mm intake/exhaust and honeycomb sidepanel. Do you think the Armour may produce better results?

so you think i could get my CPU temp lower than system temp?

With side cover on case it is 51C??!
Bloody 8800!

56c is fine for load.

Could you position one of these under your 8800 to expell some of its hot air before it gets the chance to rise up to your Tuniq?
