My new Q6600 G0 is showing the following temps at stock/idle;

Core #0 32
Core #1 28
Core #2 26
Core #3 25

This is with a Tuniq Tower with fan on low and Arctic Cooling MX-2.
The temps are pretty low AFAIK but is it ok that they vary so much?

Take about 2c off the first core really as it's the one that takes the brunt of the very soft work until more cores are used, so it's generally hotter than the other ones all the time unless the IHS is uneven. Temps are normal, I thought mine were quite odd as there was a 7c difference between core 0 and core 3, but apparantly it's releatively normal.

I'm using Core Temp.
You won't need to add any additional temperature if you are using Core Temp, as it reports correctly, the 15c thing is normally for SpeedFan as it reports the temps from the CPU socket which is generally much cooler.

The 7c is normal? Because my lapped B3 had about a 7c difference between Core 0 and core 3.....and now I have a g0 that I just lapped...and there is still EXACTLY a 7c difference between cores 0 and 3.

:confused::confused:

Anyway to the OP: If those temps are read from coretemp then they look spot on and quite good :)

It depends what the TJunc is reading in coretemp. If it is the 0.95.4 Beta then it would be 100 which you can read the temps as what they say. If it reads 85, then add 15 degrees.

The difference is pretty normal as the CPU's are seldom flat. I had an 11c difference between mine before I sanded it.

Mine reads in Core Temp at idle 44 43 40 39

So in reality its 42 43 40 39

Not bad using a Freezer 7 Pro. Owe its clocked at 3.2Mhz as well.
