Theres a quite a large temp difference between the cores, both idle and load,

36/38/44/45 idle and 66/62/61/67 load

It's with a Zalman CNPS9700, is it worth remounting? also what's best to use, I have some tubes of Zalman STG1, AC MX-1, AS5 and Ceramique, first application was with STG1, which is better ?

Well I'm sure I've heard that MX1 and AS5 are about the same. I had the MX-1 on my old Freezer Pro and got told to not even bother changing it over with the AS5. I'd go with either AS5 or MX-1.

My friend in Holland is using the 9700 for his AM2 CPU that he bought last year sometime. Don't you think you should get the Ultra or the TT?. I'm only cooling dual core under my TT but would be a lot happier with a better cooler for quad.

Are the Ultra and TT that much better? I might pick one up next week if there worth it.

What kind of temp difference would they make over a CNPS9700

Sorry. I just thought with the 9700's being made a little while ago that the cooling performances would be better with the TT or the Ultra. Everyone seems to be recommending them.

This is my first Intel system so I'm not so clued up compared to some but this CPU has never seen below 3.2Ghz (up to 3.5Ghz) and the temps have been pretty good so far. I do think the TT or Ultra will cool better than the 9700 but I think I'll have to see if there is any reviews to support this. I'll have a look.
