Dear all,

I installed Intel TAT to have a look at accurate temps, but noticed the CPU seems to be running slower than stock.

Any ideas?

(Haven't OCed at all)

I meant the speedstep thing Wesley suggested.

If i'm to venture into the depths of the bios (complete and utter OCing noob) - am i just looking to change the FSB upto 266? Leave the 9 multiplyer? No other things?

Thanks all for your help

Hmm very strange, i just had a look in the bios, it's set for 266mhz already

Yet TAT still shows it's running at 2.3ghz

had a similar problem with TAT showing 2 cores on my Q6600 running at 3.4 GHz when I no for a fact they are running at 3.294

Maybe the four cores are confusing it?!

Maybe its listed in an extra menu somewhere in your BIOS? Have a flick through your manual. FOr instance, to chaneg some advanced settings in my BIOS, I have to Press F1 to display the additional menu.

I'm sure it started fine!
But after a few days, has developed this problem... beware!!

PS> Have you tried to OC at all with the 4Core board??
