Hey, ive been looking around at prices. On another well known computer site they sell the Q6600 but they dont say if its GO or B3 nor do they sell two versions like OCUK. I looked down the listed spec and it says 1.1v, this seems pritty low. I wondered if this is a GO stepping chip?

I cant find any other shops which are selling GO on pre order or even menchening them. Seems strange, unless they are just going to swap them over when they run out of stock and not say anything. But will they also randomly increase the price like ocuk did then?

If the prices stay the same then i cant see how ocuk will sell considering their Go chips are more expensive then the normal... which is more expensive then other places anyway lol.

Aww well. Thanks i found out what i wanted to know. Didn't the E6850s come out weeks earlyer in other places though? i wondered if the Go versions might be doing the same and i could get one early :)

Im sure the £18 extra is just an excuse to make money. It cant really cost that much more to make. And if it does then they still make big profits anyway as they sell like crazy :P

I think ill attach a parachoote to my pc and jump out of a plane and try and overclock it using the speed of me calling at 210mph as cooling :P

ooo i just found out this is a Go stepping chip!!!

Therefore they must run 1.1v standard without any energy saving :)

Its on pre order just like OCUK so i gues they just run out of their orginal stock quicker then OCUK did.

Arnt people putting 1.3v into the normal chips?

Does this mean you can put the 1v1v ones up to at least 1.3v and get a really good overclock at the temperature of stock B3?
